Hi,

This is Blog number 1. I will be posting a new one as often as possible.

I moved back to England a few months ago after living on the Maltese islands for 14 years. I have just started the music college BIMM Brighton and I am really enjoying it. It has been really great to meet so many like minded people, who all love music so much. I have been doing loads of open mic nights around Brighton and I have a few gigs coming up which I will keep up to date in the ‘Events’ section of the website.

Last week Tom Odell came to my college to talk about his writing process and new album. Then that evening I went to see him perform live at Brighton centre. It was incredibly inspirational because seeing him before at college and then later on stage bridged this gap between people starting out in music (like me) and professionals.

A few months ago I performed as part of Sofar London, which was amazing. I love Sofar Sounds. I did Sofar Malta a couple years ago and it was great to do one in England. It is always such a great atmosphere, with everyone listening, they are all so into the music, it is unbelievable, it is every musicians ideal performance. The last couple months I have attended Sofar Brighton. It was my first as an audience member and not a performer. It was really nice just to go, not know who was going to be performing and enjoy the music. The last one I went to was a 'Christmas Special' and there I saw the band Flyte, which I now really love and have bought all their EP's.

That is all that has been happening at the moment. A new blog will come again soon!
